The First Workshop of the IOC Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (WESTPAC) on its SEAGOOS Pilot Project on Ocean Forecasting Demonstration was held on 30 September 2010 in the Phuket Marine Biological Center (PMBC) of Thailand. The workshop was organized by the IOC Regional Secretariat for the Western Pacific (WESTPAC Secretariat) with generous host of the PMBC. Dr. Somkiat Khokiattiwong, SEAGOOS Coordinator, chaired the workshop. The participants discussed the detail of the purpose, technical method, funding of the project. The key output from the workshop is the project plan.
