The Second Workshop of the IOC Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (WESTPAC) on its SEAGOOS Pilot Project on Ocean Forecasting Demonstration was opened in the morning of 14 December 2010 in the First Institute of Oceanography (FIO) of China . The workshop was organized by the IOC Regional Secretariat for the Western Pacific (WESTPAC Secretariat) with generous host of the FIO. Professor Tangang, chaired the workshop. Prof. Fredolin Tangang, Prof. Somkiat , Prof. Fangli Qiao and Mr. Wenxi Zhu attended the workshop. The participants discussed the progress of the project during the year 2010 to 2011 and plan in the year 2012.
